The company embraced aluminium and light-alloy casting technology.
This intuition was to award Grimeca with significant technological breakthroughs and market success a few years later.
The many aluminium components manufactured include complex parts
with high technological content, such as the whole crankcase complete with heads and cylinders used in the motorcycles of that period.

large plants with cutting-edge technology shops and labs were set up. In 1968 Grimeca developed the first double-cam hub for MORINI 350 SPORT,
that marked a significant step forward in terms of racing performance. Currently still in production, it is much sought after by vintage motorcycle lovers.

The emphasis on training led to the creation of a study centre. Our centre hosts classes and workshops for the
Departments of IT and Mechanics held in collaboration with the University of Padua.

Aluminium die-casting is used to manufacture a whole frame for a Gilera moped for the first time.
A first die-cast motorcycle frame for the Honda - NSR (1988) and the first die-cast swingarm for CAGIVA MITO (1990) will follow.
